Get higher on your next hike. And we’re not just referring to elevation gains.

If you haven’t hiked with cannabis before, it could seem a little daunting (or dangerous). But cannabis has a remarkable way of enhancing our connection to nature, and relaxing both minds and muscles. Just remember to bring a giant water bottle, first aid kit and some protein-packed snacks.

When dosing edibles – whether hiking or relaxing on the couch – always start with a small dose and work your way up to a higher potency. When hiking with edibles (as with dosing), the most practical route is to start with a slow, mellow, gentle trail. Intense hikes and rigorous climbs can challenge your footing, so best to keep your edible consumption on solid ground. Keep in mind that injuries tend to occur on the way down, when legs are tired and nearing the end of the trail.

Best practices: dose responsibly, be respectful of other hikers, leave no trace (pack it in/pack it out), and know your route.
